Built from local sandstone in 1669 with oak beams, 46 Church Street is the middle cottage and 42 Church Street is the end of the three \u2018Pegges Almshouses\u2019. Seventeenth Century architecture meets twentieth century interior design and twenty first century technology. Each cottage was once two cottages and now each one of the buildings has the novelty of two front doors, the first to a modern kitchen, dining room and the second to a spacious lounge and secluded outdoor dining area for two. Just minutes\u2019 walk from the centre of town, restaurants, supermarkets, shops and bars and access to the Tissington Trail cycle and walking path. Within thirty minutes by car to some of the UK\u2019s most visited attractions including Dovedale, Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall, Sudbury Hall, Matlock Bath, Crich Tramway Museum and Alton Towers.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The open plan ground floor interior includes a modern kitchen with four seat dining table and four chairs, electric oven and gas hob, extraction fan, microwave, dish washer, fridge with freezer compartment, Illy espresso coffee machine with pods, dualit kettle and toaster, Sophie Conran tableware. Adjoining Bathroom with walk in power\/rain shower, basin, WC, heated mirror, and heated towel rail. A utility cupboard houses a washing machine, Iron, ironing board, drying wrack and cordless Dyson Vacuum cleaner. The spacious lounge includes a four-seat leather Chesterfield sofa and a reclining three seat sofa, coffee and nest side tables and a small electric powered stove, to compliment the gas central heating throughout. Lighting is configurable for all tastes both bright and mood with reading lamps in all rooms. Lounge entertainment includes a wall mounted SkyGlass 43\u201d 4K TV with Dolby Atmos and Netflix included Fibre broadband in all rooms and garden. Upstairs consists of a spacious bright study with walnut table and comfortable Kartell office chair, and storage cupboard\/wardrobe. The bedroom is accessed through a quirky triangular wooden door (not suitable for those with limited mobility) with Simba king size bed and mattress, samba coolmax pillows, Egyptian cotton sheets, towels and robes provided, Kartell chair and dressing table. A stone outbuilding has additional storage for bikes and outdoor gear. A parking space is available 150 yards from the cottage, additional public parking is available within a two-minute walk.
